A: QuickRSS is free because I believe in OpenSource. If the project you’ve made is good enough, people will donate.

Q: Where can I donate?
A: You can through SourceForge. A percent of your donation will go to funding open source projects

Q: If I donate where will my money go to?
A: Directly in to this project. A domain name is $10 dollars, and hosting was $12.50. I have a job, and I go to college. Finding time to code applications such as this is difficult.
